Orbol Walkthrough

Orbol is an entertaining online adventure game that combines elements of puzzle and logic games to make it even more addictive. In it, your goal is to guide Orbol, a sort of panda creature in a sphere, to the portal, a red sphere surrounded by a black ring with smaller, brighter red spheres around it, at the end of the level. Along the way you have to avoid bad guys and avoid running out of ink. Run into a bad guy and you'll lose a life. Run out of ink, and you'll lose a life. Unlike many other adventure games that follow a similar premise, you do not have the luxury of unlimited retries so you will need to be careful. You are given the option of retrying a level if you get stuck, but use this option sparingly. You only have ten lives and as more and more enemies are introduced, you'll need to have those extra lives. This isn't an easy game by any stretch of the imagination but it is a lot of fun and it is especially addictive. You'll have a blast playing, even if you don't make it to the end of the game.

Orbol doesn't rely on flashy graphics, complicated rules or an involved story to get you interested in the game. The challenge of the game and the increasingly difficult levels are more than enough to capture your attention. You'll find yourself wanting to complete the challenge put before you simply to see what the next level holds. The goal of the game is clear - get Orbol through the portal - and the rules are just as easy to understand. Orbol will bounce off green bricks in any direction depending on the angle of impact. Sometimes Orbol will go straight back, sometimes left and sometimes right. You need to figure out what direction Orbol is going to bounce and use lines you draw with the mouse and the left mouse button to guide him to the portal. You only have so much ink you can use, however, so you need to be careful with the lines you draw. You start out with 1,000 ink and each line you draw subtracts from that. To see how much ink you have, look at the ink display on the bottom left of the screen.

The best way to make smart moves is to look at where Orbol needs to end up try to figure out the best way to get him there; keeping in mind the increasing number of bad guys you need to avoid along the way. In some levels, the portal is surrounded by enemies you will need to guide away from the portal before trying to send Orbol in. If you're not sure what objects on the screen are enemies and what objects aren't, remember this simple rule of thumb; if it isn't Orbol, a green block or the portal, you should avoid it. Although some might consider this more of a puzzle game, the enemies and the progressive levels give it a lot in common with many of the other adventure games online. It is played a bit differently, but it is a lot of fun.

Overall, Orbol is an excellent adventure game that will keep you playing level after level. There are bound to be levels you will get stuck on, but try approaching them with patience and logic. Every level in this game is beatable. The key is to be careful, plan your moves and pay attention to enemies. If you need to move enemies out, you'll likely have to move Orbol in quickly, so keep this in mind when you're drawing your lines. This one might be a bit difficult for beginners, but with little practice, even novice adventure game players can get the hang of it.
