Johnny Upgrade Walkthrough

Johnny Upgrade is a platform game where upgrading is (literally) the name of the game! This action game features cartoon graphics, simple controls, and of course, lots and lots of upgrades!

In Johnny Upgrade, you play the titular character, a cartoon superhero as he attempts to defeat the evil boss. Actually, he doesn't start off so super, but as you purchase upgrades, he will enhance his abilities! In order to complete your objective, you will have to collect coins and unlock all of Johnny's powers! This can be a grueling process, but don't worry; you have unlimited lives and your progress is saved so you can continue from where you left off the next time that you play this platform game.

If you thought that Batman was lame because he relies on technology over superpowers, then you will find Johnny Upgrade to be the most inept superhero of all time (at least for starters). When you first start this platform game, you will not be able to move at all. You will have to upgrade your movement speed to move at a snail's pace. Collect as many coins as you can, but you will find yourself exploding. Looks like there is a time limit in this platform game as well! Luckily, you can upgrade your time limit to get more time. Upgrade everything and eventually, you will become a worthy superhero!

Once you have upgraded, Johnny Upgrade is a breeze. The boss has a very simple pattern. I don't want to take away all of the challenge of this action game, so I will let you figure out the pattern for yourself. I will advise you that you should only shoot the boss once after he has come down to the ground; shooting him multiple times is a waste of ammo.

Johnny Upgrade is a fun platform game for casual gamers, but hardcore fans of the genre may find the game to be too brief or easy. If you want a real challenge, try to complete the game with as few deaths as possible!
