Cactus McCoy Walkthrough
Cactus McCoy is a western-themed adventure game. This adventure game features cartoon graphics, arcade-style gameplay, and a captivating storyline.
When you begin Cactus McCoy, you must choose one of three save slots. After choosing your slot and entering your name, you are ready to begin the game. You will be presented with a comic-book style cutscene presenting the story of the game. If you're interested in the story of this adventure game, be sure to check this scene out, but if you want to get straight to the action, you may skip the cutscene.
The objective of Cactus McCoy is to make it to the end of each of the game's twelve levels. You may wish to speed through each level, but I advise you to take your time and try to complete some of the level's secrets. Accomplishing tasks and unlocking achievements will reward you with extra funds which you can use to upgrade your character! You may view each level's tasks under the "Area" section of this adventure game's menu.
Cactus McCoy features a variety of weapons that will give you an edge against the game's enemies. Weapons can be grouped into two categories: melee and ranged. Melee weapons allow you to deal more damage at close range than you would by using your fists. Ranged weapons are shot or thrown, allowing you to hit your enemies from a distance. Most ranged weapons do less damage than melee weapons would, but the ability to strike at a distance can be helpful in this adventure game. You may also aim your shots upward by pressing the up key, or diagonally by pressing the up key along with the left or right keys. Be careful, because every weapon has limited usage which is indicated by the blue bar adjacent to the weapon's icon in the game interface.
You may not like to beat a dead horse, but beating a dead enemy is a cruel yet rewarding action in this adventure game. If you juggle a dead enemy by continuing to strike him, the enemy will release more coins, and will sometimes drop a powerful weapon! If you want to juggle enemies, it is easiest to do this with a melee weapon, or your fists.
Cactus McCoy is unique for a platforming game, since you are allowed to buy upgrades between levels. I advise buying the punching upgrade first since it is the cheapest, and your bare fists are always available int his adventure game. Purchasing upgrades is not an absolute necessity, but you will be glad that you did in the later stages of this action game!
If you are a fan of westerns, or just want to kick back and play a fun and challenging adventure game, then you will love Cactus McCoy. Cactus McCoy is an enthralling side-scrolling game with a captivating story and immense replay value!
