Bloomo: A Submarine Adventure Walkthrough

Bloomo: A Submarine Adventure is an adventure game that puts you in control of a yellow submarine. You will not be battling any Blue Meanines in this game, however. Instead, you will dive into the depths of the ocean in search of a rare plant. In order to accomplish this goal, you will have to avoid traps and solve various puzzles in the aquatic environment. This adventure game features multiple paths and multiple endings, so if you beat it once you may want to give it another playthrough to unlock a different ending. Your progress is automatically saved upon the completion of each chapter, and you can continue from where you left off by choosing the option to do so the next time that you play.

Bloomo: A Submarine Adventure uses a combination of keyboard and mouse controls. Use the WASD keys (or the arrow keys) to move your sub. The mouse is used to aim and to shoot your harpoon. If your harpoon is deployed, you can click again to release it. The harpoon is useful for grabbing objects and pulling them out of the way, opening up new paths that can be discovered. The harpoon can also be used to move objects in order to solve puzzles.

In terms of gameplay, Bloomo: A Submarine Adventure is spectacular. Multiple paths and endings add variety that most adventure games of this type lack. Lack of a map system makes multiple difficult to navigate, however. Since there is no map, it is easy to get disoriented and lose your way in the caves. There is also no way to go back to areas that were in previous chapters, so make sure that you do everything that you need to do and explore as much as possible. Unfortunately, the game does not warn you when the next area that you are about to enter will start a new chapter, so you may have to take notes so that you don't trigger the next chapter in your next playthrough.

Bloomo: A Submarine Adventure is a unique adventure game, but it is not perfect. This submarine game is fun to play, but it can be frustrating getting lost. Bloom: A Submarine Adventure gets a solid 8 out of 10.
