Aether Walkthrough

Aether is an artistic adventure game presented by Armor Games. Aether features detailed sprite graphics, soothing background music, and a whimsical storyline.

The objective of Aether is to swing yourself into space, solving each planet's puzzle. When you arrive on a planet, its name will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen. There are five planets featured in this adventure game. Aether is a relatively short game, and thus does not utilize a save feature. This game can be beaten in about one hour, so if you want to finish, don't start unless you have time to beat it in one sitting.

Aether uses a combination of keyboard and mouse controls. The WASD keys are used to move and the mouse is used to shoot your pet's tongue. In order to move from planet to planet, you will have to swing from clouds and asteroids. Shoot your creature's tongue at a cloud or asteroid, then swing left and right to gain momentum. When you have gained enough momentum to move in the direction of your choice, release the mouse button to release the creature's tongue. The deeper you get into space, the less momentum you will need to move in the direction of your choosing.

When you get into space, this adventure game will use colored arrows (which look like birds or butterflies) to direct you to different planets. The yellow arrow points to Bibulon, the dark green arrow points to Debrasa, the blue arrow points to Malaisus, the pink arrow points to Gravida, and the pale green arrow points back to Earth. When you have completed the puzzle on each planet, you will have to return to Earth to complete the game.

Aether is an entertaining and artistic adventure game with a delightful story, but it leaves some things to be explained. Perhaps we will find out more in Aether 2. I am very curious as to how the boy and his pet can survive in space without proper suits or breathing equipment.
